Also, if someone is healthy with balanced hormones, and they are in their 40’s and hoping to fall pregnant, will supplementing with progesterone help?

I would like to know what is the cause of diminishing progesterone as we age: is it from poor quality corpus luteum ? Or just general lifestyle/metabolism stuff that comes with aging (but can be managed/reversed) How can we boost progesterone naturally besides healthy fats, B6, etc ... which progesterone suppositories are best?

Great topic😊 i would like to know who should supplement, types of supplements that are most bioavailable, any side effects. I am looking in some creams for topical application, but dont know if it is safe. I am having some simptoms of possible estrogen dominance so would like to hear about how to balance estrogen using progesterone. And also does it have any effect on hair growth🤔 hope is not to much questions😁 thanks Kaya🤗

Some people say its great to use as a favial moisturiser as it helps with lines. What if someone wants to use it just for the skin health benefits, will it still effect their hormones and if so, then should it only be applied in the time between ovulation and before period starts?

Great! I'd love to know, if I have regilar periods and a seemingly well-balanced hormonal system, is there still any benefit from supplementing progesterone to help with fertility and pregnancy?

I'd love to know the best way to supplement during peri-menopause when cycling is not consistent and ovulation is not happening or is rare. How to know when and how much progesterone to take when it can't be timed with a regular 28 day cycle.

Also what is best out of oral supplements or natural creams?

Looking forward to this podcast!

I'd love to learn more about dosing it to avoid the progesterone being converted back into estrogen, in a highly estrogen-dominant body.

Thanks for all your amazing work! 🙏🏽

Natural legit ways to raise progesterone naturally. Also about side effects of bio identical progesterone cream I felt amazing energy and my libido sky rocketed in a way i have NEVER felt before immediately the next day. but unfortunately had stomach issues extreme bloating and down there itchiness which tell me it offsets candida so I stopped. a short lived couple of days of eurphoria lol sad this showed me that before that time i tried it I never actually knew how down there should normally feel like. (LUBRICATED, responsive and alive )

When would men need to take progesterone? Or is it more ideal if they just took something like DHEA/pregnenolone? When does it become obvious that women need more progesterone? What are the best ways to supplement? What dosage would they start at?

I am so excited for this. I've been experimenting for awhile with it for myself. I'm curious about what would make it convert into estrogen or stress hormones because I've heard that can happen. I'm also curious as to why it would make my cycles longer. I've noticed that it really helps with my sleep and emotional balance in the second half of my cycle, but then it always seems to make my cycle around 35 days as opposed to my normal 28 days when I do not supplement with progesterone in the second half of my cycle. From what I understand, it should be doing the opposite?

I'm curious about this too because it does the same thing to my cycles.

Can supplementing with progesterone delay menopause? And if someone is on HRT, does progesterone supplementation help balance out any negative side effects of the HRT?

Love that your taking questions to consider! Thank you. I would like to know how long one should use progesterone supplementation, if you don’t need it are you going to offset things by using it, and what it looks like when coming off of it.

Looking forward to this ep! I'd like to find out how one can incorporate progesterone while breastfeeding, esp if they want to stop breastfeeding? Also, because progesterone is a precursor to cortisol, is it possible to increase cortisol levels, and if so, how to prevent this? thanks Kaya !

Awesome! I have read that supplementing progesterone is a moot point if there is still significant stress responses in the system. Have you found that also? In case like that, would there be any harm done or just a lack of benefit? Thank you!

Would love understand what you’d recommend for women with breast cancer history on the mother’s side of the family. Doctors advise against any type of progesterone for PMS breast pain but I’m aware there needs to be more nuance in the conversation especially considering estrogen dominance and emotions in fascia etc. Same for those with cysts, should, should they not, when.... How can progesterone supplementation help with PCOS etc. lots of interesting interesting rabbit holes rabbit 🐇 🕳️ do go down. Been reading lots but can’t wait to hear your take. Appreciate your work, Kaya ♥️

Great idea ! I have progesterone problems and a synthesis is welcome. I tested synthetic and natural progesterone, plants or natural oils that help to produce progesterone (krill oil - ok, fish oil - hard to digest, primrose oil).

I have Endometriosis and are supposed to take artificial progesterone, Dienogest it is in German. I would be interested in trying bioidentical progesterone but I cant find a doctor who knows enough about it. I am interested if it is an option at all.

My question is about shortened periods. So 20 days instead of 28 days periods after starting supplemental progesterone only on days 14 to 28 of the cycle

Does this mean it wasnt needed?

Also will progesterone help with thyroid levels and with hair loss?

What levels of progesterone should one look for on blood work?

For a friend, I'd love to know whether progesterone supplementing short term will help balance hormones when recovering from decades long use of the Pill. (and at what point would you consider supplementing while also doing all the things to naturally elevate progesterone levels) For myself, is there any benefit to supplementing progesterone if temperatures and pulses are optimal, cycles fairly regular, at age 40?

Love it! I would love to understand more about progesterone and it’s relationship to pcos. I see it mentioned below in different contexts too but I’ve received mixed advice in the past to take or not take and that it’s “dangerous.” Would love to understand if it can help regulate estrogen

I’ve been reading lately about progesterone, and the thing that kept repeating is how easy it is to overdose progesterone topically since it is difficult to get an exact individual dose. Eventually, progesterone will end up accumulating in the tissues. It can then be released into the blood stream and cause many symptoms. Your thoughts on that . Thank you

And can it be harmful if you start supplementing with progesterone and you miss a day or two? (Will this really mess with the hormones?
